Off-Campus Event
Join Mountain School alumni and their families for a three-hour work period in the heart of downtown New York City.

Celebrate the summer season and the second year of this collaboration, meeting other Mountain School alumni as you assist at a city farm that provides produce to hunger relief organizations.

This event is hosted by Adam Walker F'03, Programs Coordinator for The Battery Conservancy. Please reach out with any questions to adam.walker@thebattery.org

Lee Fearnside s91 & her brother created a collection of portraits & narratives about celebrities who died in 2016.
Irene Li s07 is "a young Boston restaurateur who’s helping to change the game."

Writer Emma Eisenberg f03 investigated "how the system failed a poor, black, trans teen."
Lara Bazelon s91 earned a MacDowell fellowship and a Garden Hill Fund grant for her writing.
Elizabeth Pikaart s08 founded Life Under the Wheel, a non-profit that connects people suffering from illnesses to music festivals.
Sylvia Ryerson s04's Restorative Radio program connects families to incarcerated loved ones.
Sophie Robinson s06 co-produced this investigative film about the impact of climate change on global stability.
Steph Fregosi s91, a college Sustainability Coordinator, partnered her service leadership class with a youth farm.
Noah Riley s95, an architect, built a house with and for his sister, Gerun Riley s93. With their own hands.
With a GHF grant, Matti Sloman f01 developed an art and textile program for developmentally disabled artists.
Mai Ann Healy s04 works for BioFiltro, a wastewater filtration company that uses worms and bacteria to treat water.
Katherine Cooper f02's investigative piece about the threatened American paddlefish was published on Eater.
Josephine Ferorelli s00 and her organization, Conceivable Future, were featured in The Nation.
Anna Viertel s99 and her business partner opened Pizza Moto @ John Grace Bakery in Brooklyn in Oct. '15. (NYTimes review)
Ben Robbins s91 wrote the TV movie "Madoff", which chronicles Bernie Madoff and stars Richard Dreyfuss.
Sian Heder f93 wrote and directed “Tallulah,” a comedic drama that premiered at Sundance and sold to Netflix for $5m.
