Mission: The mission of The Mountain School Alumni Committee is to support a dynamic community of Mountain School graduates by connecting them to each other and to the school and helping them to carry forward the intellectual curiosity, celebration of place, and commitment to service we associate with The Mountain School.
How we accomplish our mission: The Alumni Committee plans, executes, and manages dynamic programming and networking opportunities to assist Mountain School alumni in pursuing their passions, helping their communities, and coming together.
New committee members are chosen by the committee in the spring from among those who express an interest. Racial and ethnic diversity, semester and decade representation, LGTBQ+, and geographic location are factors in addition to work or volunteer experience, and engagement with the school. Once selected, you will:
Serve a three-year term.
Attend monthly meetings on Zoom.
Work with the Director of Alumni and Co-Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to find creative and inclusive ways to achieve the mission of the Alumni Initiative and support faculty and students at the Mountain School.
Contribute to the year-round work of sub-committees.
Support the activities, events, and forums of the Alumni Committee and the school.
